What We Do Matters

' Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.'

1 Corinthians 15:58

Dear Journey Family…

We live in a world where there seem to be two extremes when it comes to the way we view ourselves: we either think too much of ourselves, turning ourselves into narcissists or we don’t think enough of ourselves and we become depressed (and some even suicidal).

Is there not another way?

“Know your worth” “You are worth it” “Live your best life” are some of the best solutions we find out there to help us feel better. We need to be reminded that God resists the proud.

But then we find ourselves in this battle in our minds: “is this worth it?” “does anyone care?” “There is no point, no one notices”

But the Bible offers the best way: no effort done for the Lord is in vain.

That was our message last week. Everything we do for the glory of God will not be unseen and unmentioned.

So, the next time you feel like you want to give up in this battle called life that the Lord has us in, remember that Jesus went through it all and conquered. And he will come back with His reward. Don’t stop trusting in Him, He will do it!
