Dominican Republic - Memorial Missions World

In 2012, God opened the door for me to serve in the Dominican Republic, using my teaching degree at The Palms Christian School - an incredible school that offers a Christ-centered bilingual education in the city of San Pedro de Macoris. During that year teaching, I assisted church planters Mike and Annie Dombrosky on the weekends. At the end of the year, they invited me to come back and join their church planting team. I returned for nine months, working specifically with women’s and children’s ministries. During this time, I sensed God calling me to join the Dombroskys in full-time service. I am currently on deputation, looking forward to returning to serve Christ and make Him known in the DR.

Christ Fellowship Church

Coaches play a vital role in the lives of the youth of America. Billy Graham once said, "One coach will impact more young people in a year than most people do in a lifetime." This kind of influence under the control of the Holy Spirit and directed by the Word of God can have a mighty impact for good on young athletes.
I was blessed to be one of six men to help start the FCA Coaches Ministry in the USA. This phase of FCA is focused on assisting coaches in the walk with Christ. We gather coaches weekly for a time to study the Bible for those truths and principles that will help them coach for time and eternity. The timeless treasures of Scripture as a sure path to victory.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring the gospel message to coaches and athletes. The gospel of repentance from sin and faith alone in the finished work of Jesus on the cross can be understood by coaches and athletes alike. A positive response to the gospel has changed millions of lives and will continue to change the lives of those who respond today.

God, in His grace and goodness, directed Jerry and Gwen to IFI (International Friendships Inc.) where Jerry can use his two strongest spiritual gifts, leadership/management and teaching/discipling. As the organization has grown, Jerry’s position as Director of Administration was replaced by a Chief Operating Officer that could do this job full time. Jerry is still using his gift of administration, just in other areas. He has several English conversation partners that he meets with on a weekly basis, helps with the English Conversation Club, helps plan & organize IFI events, activities and trips, disciples international students one-on-one and in groups, and facilitates a Friday night Bible discussion group in their home. He has also been teaching the Bible to international high school students attending Eliana’s school.
