Dear Journey Family…
Last Sunday we had the visit of our good friend Nicholas Kallis and he delivered a powerful message from the Scriptures the last in the series “The Lies We Believe”.
He encouraged us to trust in God and not be deceived by the lies that God only wills good things for us, if that was the case then everyone would be doing just fine and have everything we wished for. God wants to test and strengthen our faith by having us go through trials and tough times, but He promises to be with us all along the way.
Next time you feel and think like God is not doing His part in giving you only good things, think again, He might be putting you through a trial or a test.

Baptism Sunday
It’s a Sunday of celebration as we will witness the public commitment of three of our own Journey Family. We hope you can join us to cheer them on in this decision to identify with Jesus in His death and resurrection.
A few logistic items if you are planning on being there in person: Coffee and drinks will be in the lobby to free up space for the baptisms, since we will have the “baptistry” in the back of the auditorium.
Kids will be welcome and encourage to join during the event, we want them to also witness what a follower of Jesus does and understand why. They will be dismissed to their classes afterwards.
And since it will be in the back everyone is welcome to get out of their seats and closer to the baptism area where Pastor Brian will be leading it.
And it is not too late yet, baptism sign up is still open for anyone that the Lord is moving to take this step of faith and commitment to him and declaring what He has done in your life publicly.

We are getting things ready for our September 4th, Labor Day Picnic. It’s coming up soon!
Please feel free to invite friends, family, bring your dog if you want! There will be good food, games, fellowship and a wonderful time of worship with brothers and sisters.

We are not done yet. We are going back to our Sermon on the Mount series with part 15 of the Raising The Bar series.
