Being Salt

' “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. '

Dear Journey Family…

Do you like salt? There are people that go to town with the salt shaker on their steak, on their popcorn, on their watermelon, you name it!

Salt makes things taste better. If not better, it makes them taste.

Jesus’ command to his followers to be salt is as relevant today as it was back then. And the reason is because that is how people will come to know him. To love him. By the flavor we season our life, our world with. People will want and thirst for that flavor.

May Pastor Brian’s exhortation to shape our world into what Jesus planned be one that we can live out daily.

The Kids Are Signing Up!

More like their parents are signing them up. Thanks to everyone, we are starting to gather a good group of kids from our church and outside Journey to join us next week.

There is still room if you want to help out, still things to do before and during our Summerama. You can still go here and sign up to volunteer.

Remember, Kids Summerama is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 15th - 17th, 10am - 12pm for kids ages Kindergarten to 5th grade.

Please remember Gayle in your prayers as she is going through chemo and keep praying for all those who are going through illnesses, diseases, treatment or any other kind of physical trial.
