Men At Work
'Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing hinder your prayers.”
1 Peter 3:7
Dear Journey Family…
Husbands, love your wives!
As a continuation of last week’s message that was directed toward the women, this last Sunday Pastor Brian addressed the men in our congregation (and any other man that wants to learn what the Bible teaches about being a man according to the Bible, for that matter) and the expectations that the Bible has for husbands and how they are to relate to their wives as the weaker vessel.
This by no means indicating that women are not strong, or “less than”, the Bible is full of examples of women that rose to the need of leadership, and one could wonder if that was because of the lack of leadership on the side of the men in some of these cases; regardless, women are specially gifted by God and when the occasion requires it, they are more than capable and willing to do so. So, Pastor Brian encouraged men to follow those principles found in 1 Peter reminding us that both men and women are coheirs in God.
