Dear Journey Family…

Have you ever have a “bad boss”? What was your experience like?

Maybe you have a bad boss right now, or a bad work environment. Pastor Brian reminded us the words of Peter, the apostle, to be submissive.

That is not a very popular opinion currently in a world that idolizes individual freedom and the pursuit of your own happiness and pleasure. We are used to not endure any type of hardship or criticism, let alone being mistreated in any type of manner.

But if we are to make a difference in people’s lives for the sake of Christ, we need to put others above ourselves. This does not mean of course, to overlook when a crime is taking place, we need to use wisdom.

But how are those who don’t know Christ and are around us and might not fear the Lord hear about him if we don’t show them Him, if we don’t tell them about Him?

Journey Kids Summerama ‘22

And just like that we are getting ready for our kids summer activity this year.

So we just want to put it out there because we are just about 6 weeks away from this and we want to invite everyone we can. It will be a lot of fun and more details will be coming.

The dates are June 15th - 17th (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), 10am - 12pm at our worship center. Here is the link with the information if you want to share it with your friends, the kids can start signing up right now!

LifeWise Academy

Have you heard of LifeWise Academy?

LifeWise Academy is a Released Time Religious Instruction program focused on Bible-based character education. Under little-known Released Time Religious Instruction (RTRI) laws, students can be released from public school during the school day to attend religious classes, provided the program is off school property, privately funded and parent permitted.

As an RTRI program, LifeWise Academy acts as a supportive ally to public educators, empowering community members to come alongside administrators and teachers by reinforcing and complementing their work through Bible-based character education. Watch the video below to learn more

Just to remind you that Emily Glass will be working as a counselor at Marmon Valley Farm’s summer camp.
