Dear Journey Family…

How are your eyes? Have you been to the eye doctor lately? How about the doctor of doctors? Has he checked your eyes lately? How would he find your eyes (your spiritual eyes that is).

Hopefully you are ready for a spiritual eye check at any moment.

It’s amazing how the things we allowed in our vision, in our eyes affect our mind and our hearts and our relationship with God.

Pastor Brian shared with us on Sunday the warnings Jesus gives us in Matthew 5 as far as the things we see and we think. And Jesus doesn’t mess around, he goes straight for the heart, because that is what he is interested in, not the outer things but the inside things, the things no one sees.

Great reminder to guard our hearts.

Artists (And Aspiring Artists) Wanted

Bible By Colors, our paint class is approaching soon. We hope you are inviting people, we want this to be a fun time where we can also encourage everyone to learn more from the Bible.

This is happening on Saturday July 23rd at 3pm.

Remember, this is not just for kids, it’s for anyone age 6 and up that can use a brush and follow instructions.

Remember that Bible By Colors is a free event, but you are free to contribute to pay for the costs of materials, there is a section in the sign up form where you can do that.

July 17 we start our new series “The Lies We Believe”. An interesting look at those ideas, misquoted verses and points of view that are generally believed in culture to be biblical, godly or at least “innocent”.

We’ll take a look at the Bible and what it says about these concepts and if they stand the test of God’s word.
