We also want to help the kids memorize the order of the books of the Bible so here is a little song to help with that:
This year at Journey Kids, we are focusing all our attention on learning through the books of the Bible. Every week we are taking a look at one book in the order they are in the Bible. It’s not an exhaustive study of the 66 books but there are 3 specific objectives:
1. To familiarize kids with every book in the Bible -where to find a particular book, what books are before and after, if it is Old Testament or New Testament)
2. To give them an understanding of what each book in the Bible is about
3. To teach them how each book relates to Jesus or points to Jesus.
SUNDAY MORNING - KIDS CHURCH
Grades K-5th
“Knowing Jesus, Loving Jesus, Sharing Jesus” is Journey Juniors motto which is directly from the Greatest Commandment (Matt 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20).
Journey Juniors is a place where kids feel God’s amazing love while having lots of fun. They learn in an age-appropriate space and a safe, secure environment.
Your kids will start their own journey in God’s word with a fun time of singing, Bible verse memorization and games
They will dive into scripture learning with object lessons and interaction through crafts and games to help your child think about what it means to love Jesus and follow him.
We desire to come alongside you and provide resources for your family to be spiritually healthy and equipped, and to empower every kid to be a life-long disciple of Christ.
Juniors class starts at 10am, the same time the main service starts, but feel free to do as some parents do, they keep their kids for the worship part in the main service and afterwards, the kids go to their classes.
Journey Preshcool - 2 years old through Pre-K age
We teach God’s love to children through music, bible stories, coloring, games and fun.
Jesus loves the little children and so do we!
We have a wonderful group of volunteers that have the love of God and calling to serve the youngest in our church.
For your kids’ safety and your own peace of mind all our volunteers go through background check and as you check your children in each of their classes you will receive a code which will allow only you or someone you choose to pick them up after their class.
