Discussion Questions – God Is Not Partial

Below are this weeks questions for you and your “House Church” or spiritual friends to use to discuss this weeks message. You can hear and review the message again (HERE)

Teeing it up:

Have you ever been “stereotyped” or labeled?  Perhaps because of your color, country of origin, education or income.  How did it affect you?  Have you ever “stereotyped” or labeled someone?  When?

Making Contact:

Review the story of Cornelius and Peter in Acts 10:1-48.  Why was Cornelius stereotyped?  What did God do to show Peter that stereotyping was wrong?  How many times did God have to do what he did for Peter to finally learn his lesson?  Has God ever changed a paradigm in your life?  How did he do it?  How “easy” was it for you to learn?

Follow Through:
How many “different” kinds of people do you have that you either work, play or live with?  What are you doing to cultivate a deeper relationship with them?   How diverse are we as a church?  Can you think of anything we can do to carry out Christ’s command  “to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth,”  Acts 1:8.
